News about John Poole: Dear Ones: John is in Memorial Hospital Room 445. He called me this morning and I visited him in his room. The room has a great view and I'm sure receiving excellent care. He's tired and ready to go home. But they want to keep him another day or two to make sure he's in good enough shape to return home. He is seeing guests and you might want to give him a call. At home, he'll receive good care from a couple of home healthcare workers he likes very much. We need to encourage him to eat well at home.

We are also announcing that the FCM Faith Communities Committee will be leading the prayer gathering on October 10th. We will mark the one year of the war in Gaza as well as all places of conflict with a prayer service for peace in the style of the Taize tradition.
