(Luis and Jenny Janssen enjoy the sunshine,

shaded by their cowboy and cowgirl hats)

One of the life lessons Luis and Jenny have given in such abundance is that of imagination. Jenny and Luis inspire us to break through our old concept of God -- the tiny, controllable God of our childhood catechism. Reach higher, think wider, think of a circle of kinsip encompassing the entire human family.

Remember Luis and his Russian Doll metaphor -- seeking the true reality, the deeper reality of humanness.

And then Jenny, a creative sculptor who designed in clay and cast in bronze. These are a few of her pieces -- a follow on to yesterday's reflection on her sculpture of pilgrims struggling "To The Portal" which was inspired by listening to Mozart's Requiem.

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.

  • George Bernard Shaw

Imagination is the eye of the soul.

  • Joseph Joubert

The world of reality has its limits; the world of imagination is boundless.

  • Jean-Jacques Rousseau

“Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the foundation of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathize with humans whose experiences we have never shared.”

- Albert Einstein
