1047: Day Retreat March 4, 2023 - Save The Date!
Day 1047: Friday, January 27, 2023: Save the Date for our upcoming Day Retreat:
Saturday, March 4, 9:30-4:00 at Enid's home
Dear Community: The Education Committee led by Mary FitzGerald requests that we save the date for our retreat day:
When: Saturday, March 4, 9:30-4:00.
Where: Enid's home

Note from Mary:
We will gather at Enid's home to continue our discussion from last Sunday's meeting. This will be a day for us to talk together and reflect on where we are as a faith community and to share what we want as we move forward.
We hope everyone will attend this gathering in person and so are not going to be zooming it, but we are happy to help with arranging rides as needed.
If you are unable to attend, please send any topics you would like discussed to Victoria or Mary.
Please bring your own bag lunch and we'll provide coffee, tea and some yummy desserts! Hope to see you there.....we'll ask for an RSVP as we get closer to the date!

About Pope Francis and his thoughts on homosexuality:
"Francis, who just buried his predecessor, knows that the clock is ticking. He may have three, maybe four or five more years as pope. Nothing in his first 10 years suggests he is going to radically attempt to change any doctrinal teaching of the church, but he might be more aggressive in changing the place of doctrinal teaching in the church.
As he said in the AP interview after discussing sinfulness in the context of homosexuality,
"It's also a sin to lack charity with one another."
That is the Francis Revolution in nine words, a reminder that the beating heart of the Catholic faith is about charity.
Why that is confusing to so many says more about them than it does about Pope Francis.
On this central theme of his papacy, don't be surprised if the octogenarian pontiff puts the pedal to the metal in the years ahead."
