News about the potential for a new location for our celebrations - read on!

This is a note I received from Victoria MacDonald who met with Therese Taylor of

Knox Presbyterian & Thanksgiving Lutheran Churches. I suggest we discuss the possibility this week or at our next celebration nextr Sunday the 24th of July.

From Victoria MacDonald (photos by Victoria also)

Hello Community:

I met with Therese Taylor of Knox Presbyterian and Thanksgiving Lutheran churches. Here below are photos of:

•The Fellowship Hall and the adjacent covered patio area.

•The hallway right across from the far door has a room where we can store some storage boxes and also the bathrooms.

•The kitchen; not industrial but certainly adequate for our needs.

Therese said that they did have a contract, but that a new one would need to be written up.

But we definitely will need to carry liability insurance, which I said we have.

She said $125 for each use so that would be $250 per month or about $3,000/ year.

She knows we will need to speak to each of our boards and have community meetings for final approvals.

I told her I would pass along photos and this info and we would get back to her soon.

She knows Kay and Jeanine from her past Cursillo work, and was raised Catholic from Redwood City…actually she said there are a lot of former Catholics there.

Also they have 2 churches meeting here already…the Presbyterians and Lutherans…and they both share one pastor! How good is that!

Also , Marcie Dahlen has been meeting with their Church because they do protests on their corner every week, I think, for BLM, and the Rotary has played a major role in their work.
