Let our Voices be Heard!
At yesterday's Celebration, Jacqueline brought up the need to get involved in the synod process. Next month, each diocese will receive a questionnaire from the Office of the Synod of Bishops inviting the people to voice their opinions and concerns about the future of the institutional Church. From October 2021 through April 2022,
Pope Francis has called upon every diocese throughout the world for bishops and the people to engage in dialogue. The pope wants to hear from all the people - not only those who are engaged in regular Mass attendance but even those who've walked away from the institutional Church valuing their personal faith over so-called "Church laws" and prescripts.
We have a rare opportunity to let our voices be heard through a petition and also by mailing a letter to our local priests and bishops. We need a synod to express our thoughts and feelings about our Church.
Here's a Blog about the synod with comments and sample letters to help us let our voices be heard.

Perhaps we can get together on ZOOM and share our letters - once we begin writing.
This week we hope to publish the video Jacqueline spoke about -- Watch this space...

Father Mychal's Judge's Blessing:
Remembering the September 11th Victim Who Died Praying for Others
This is a lovely remembrance of Franciscan Mychal Judge who died in service to his beloved firefighters on September 11th. Take a few moments to watch the video of this friar who loved life and was so joyful.

In this video, Father Michael Duffy recalls delivering the sermon for his close friend, Father Mychal Judge, who was the first certified fatality of the September 11th attacks. Father Michael remembers Father Mychal’s endearing mannerisms, his constant positivity, and, above all, his profound impact on everyone he knew.
“We come to bury his heart, but not his love. Never his love.”
