1150: Mothers Day Celebration with Victoria and Nancy: This Sunday. Join Us!
Day 1150: Friday, May 12, 2023
by calling forth the Sacred Mother that lives within each of us, can bring about a releasing, a healing...and a rising up of our true, rich, and whole selves.

This Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th our Emmaus liturgy will celebrate and give thanks to all the mothers we have been blessed to have...those who have “mothered us into being;” those men and women both, who by their very presence of nurturing and loving support, have been like mothers to us…and we’ll also celebrate, our beloved Mother Earth, who upholds, feeds and reveals herself to us in myriad ways.

This Mother’s Day, let’s talk about ways that we can empower one another to rise up, express our deepest yearnings to become fully who we are called to be. Come with your thoughts about the many ways women’s voices, here and around the world, are oHen unheard, unrecognized and undervalued.
Much like many women in scripture, Mother Earth has suffered under the burden of oppressive forces, like global warming, pandemics, and the increasing risks of depleting her precious natural resources.

During our liturgy, we will look at these similarities between our mothers, women of the world and Mother Earth, and we’ll discuss how each of us, by calling forth the Sacred Mother that lives within each of us, can bring about a releasing, a healing...and a rising up of our true, rich, and whole selves.

What greater Mother’s Day gift can we give our mothers, our Mother Earth, our Mother God, and our very selves?
