A winter tree that looks dead, but inside new energy, new strength, soon ready for the burst of new life in Spring.
I took the photo in New York City’s Central Park, when I lived in Manhattan for 5 1/2 years in the 1970’s
I transformed the black into white and pasted the two opposites together in the darkroom at the Grail Conference Center upstate New York, where I was on staff for 2 1/2 years.
The Grail is an international lay women’s movement, which started in 1921 at a Catholic University in Holland, to heal the world by focusing on women and children.
