Living and Aging with Resilience in Our Changing World
Good morning Emmaus!
I'm forwarding this message to you because some of our members and friends may find this interesting. Cindy and I attended some of their programs in person including a wonderful weekend at San Domiano shortly before she was called home to organize heaven.
Blessings on your day.
Living and Aging with Resilience in Our Changing World
Your facilitators will interweave the influences of Mind, Body, and Spirit on your own personal resilience in later life.
Sage-ing International believes that this series is crucial to our well-being in today's world. Thursdays in February 9th, 16th, 23rd ....9:00 am – 10:30 am PT Closed captioning is available
As we face the ever-increasing personal and societal changes and challenges that surround us, many of us feel the need to tap into a deeper level of resiliency and possibility. Studies show that when we develop and nurture strategies and practices that enhance our ability to adapt and flourish in the face of adversity, our experiences are enriched, resulting in a more meaningful and satisfying life. In this series, we will explore ways older adults can cultivate resiliency and transform life challenges into opportunities for growth.

Save the Date for our upcoming Day Retreat:
Saturday, March 4, 9:30-4:00 at Enid's home
Dear Community: The Education Committee led by Mary FitzGerald requests that we save the date for our retreat day:
When: Saturday, March 4, 9:30-4:00.
Where: Enid's home
Note from Mary:
We will gather at Enid's home to continue our discussion from last Sunday's meeting. This will be a day for us to talk together and reflect on where we are as a faith community and to share what we want as we move forward.
We hope everyone will attend this gathering in person and so are not going to be zooming it, but we are happy to help with arranging rides as needed.
If you are unable to attend in person, please send any topics you would like discussed to Victoria or Mary.
Please bring your own bag lunch and we'll provide coffee, tea and some yummy desserts! Hope to see you there.....we'll ask for an RSVP as we get closer to the date!

Today is the first day of the Season of Non-Violence. I think in light of this year’s theme, the first day’s word is courage.
The Season for Nonviolence marks the 64 days between the anniversaries of the deaths of Mohandas Gandhi on January 30 and Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4. Cesar Chavez‘s birthday also falls within the Season on March 31. The Season for Nonviolence was co-founded by Arun and Sunanda Gandhi and the Leadership Council of The Association for Global New Thought (AGNT) in 1998. We learn to practice nonviolence one step at a time, one choice at a time, one day at a time. Through our daily nonviolent choices and action, our noble and courageous spirits rise to move the world in the direction of peace. Wherever you are in your journey, we hope this booklet will support your growth and encourage you, reminding you that you are part of a worldwide community working for nonviolence and peace.
