ACCOMPANIMENT

What Is Accompaniment?

Accompaniment is walking alongside and providing support to migrants while attending legal and court appointments. It could also include providing transportation, language assistance, and resources contact information.

Emmaus Accompaniment Team

All Emmaus members are invited to join our accompaniment team.  Each team consists of 4-6 members who commit to accompanying someone to immigrant court or ICE check-in.  Team members' special roles include: driver availability, language fluency, recording of incident, and resources specialist.
Time commitment: up to 1-2 hrs/week, as needed, over a 6-12 month period.
